Buff Wax Spot Skyview

Came here for a last minute bikini wax and I would absolutely book again!! The space is so fun and cute as soon as you walk in. My waxer was gentle but still very precise!! I didn’t feel like there were any areas that were “sore” from being waxed over too many times.

My service was on time Carolina completed a very thorough intake, she checked in occasionally on my well-being during my treatment. My wax was clean not a single hair was left behind. Full leg and bare buff Brazilian professionally done. I am not new to this type of service and I will say Buff Wax Spot is the best wax studio in this city. Wax tech is confident and skilled working in intimate areas. I have been to couple places for waxing. Buff Wax Spot #1.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I was a regular customer before the shutdown in 2020. I always had a great experience at the south side location, and then after getting pregnant, I decided to return for their Buff Sweet Baby Brazilian at the Skyview location, as it was catered to pregnant women. During my last appointment, I prebooked two separate appointments as I'm getting close to my due date and wasn't sure when the baby was going to make their arrival or if I'd have any signs of early labour. I am always a morning appointment person, so when I got an email notification about my appointment reminder, I was shocked that it was at 5:00 PM, but I thought I must have booked it later since I'm now on maternity leave and didn't have to work it around my working hours and must have originally scheduled it in my phone wrong. After shuffling around my day and doctor's appointments, I get a notification that I was charged by Buff for missing my appointment. This didn't make any sense to me, so I went into my email notifications, and the appointment was under the timezone UTC which is in Europe.I called Buff right away to apologize for missing the appointment and bring up the technical difficulty from their email reminder and was told to email to get a refund, which I did. Buff told me it was a technical issue on my end, and they would not reimburse the appointment. I found this shocking, considering I haven't had this issue with previous appointments and use my calendar all the time for everything and don't have problems with other businesses sending me appointment reminders in the wrong time zone.Coming from a customer service background, I felt this could have been handled better on their part instead of trying to throw the blame on myself as their client. Because of their poor customer service, I will no longer recommend them or return as a customer and will take my waxing elsewhere.

So so good ! A little escape to paradise even though you’re getting a wax! The technicians are so experienced and knowledgeable. Truly a quick and seem-less experience every time!

Awful, COMPLETELY HYPOCRITICAL, Customer service policy. After they last minute cancelled my appointment at 10am in Ellerslie, they offered me 1030am at Skyview, and I accommodating their change without any complaint. Driving from the southside to north side resulted in me being late for my appointment due to traffic and wrong directions (from their reception) and then THEY REFUSED my service, was even though I was the one accommodating them in the first place. Completely unapologetic tech and reception staff. I understand sticking to cancellation policy when the change is customer initiated, but when the you the business that asked for the cancelled the initial appointment, then the least you can do is fit that customer in. You’ve lost a loyal customer (5+ years) and I will encourage anyone I know to not use your services.

i have gone here three times and each time they've been AMAZING. as usual it's nerve wracking having someone so close to your bits to wax but both the ladies made me feel so comfortable and made it a lot easier than expected! will be the only place i'll continue to go for waxing

Absolutely love and recommend buff wax spot! All of their techs are super amazing and personable which makes the experience much less awkward. Not to mention they have an amazing points system whenever you pay for a service ! 10/10 recommend :)

I have yet to have a bad wax here and I’ve been going for a few years! They are super consistent, clean and fun! Carolina is my fave (she’s got me the most) but even their trainees are wonderful. You feel the good vibes as soon as you go in.

I have been a loyal customer for nearly 3 years and I have seen the service go down in the past 18 months, roughly, at the Sky View location. I have never in my life felt inclined to leave a 1 star review for any Canadian company, until today (I left a few 1 stars for some Qatari companies which were totally crazy). First off, I was trying to save some carbon emissions so I road my bike. I was visibly post-workout, breathing a bit hard, asked for a cup of water and was very rudely denied a drink of water for “sanitary reasons”. I had to nearly beg for a drink of water which the lady finally gave me but after a lot of negative attitude from her. Secondly, she didn’t read my chart that I can’t lay in butterfly (not that this is a big deal to me, because it isn’t, but it just compounded my already negative start to the appointment; they normally bring in a beautiful positioning pillow but instead had to use a rolled up hand towel which wasn’t high enough) and thirdly, and this happened at my previous appointment, they absolutely refuse to wax 1 extra strip on each leg without charging a full upper leg. The technician was going to leave me with 1 extra strip of hair on each leg! I had to pay $45 extra to have the “upper leg” included when it was only 1 strip on each leg. I told her she may as well do 1 strip on my hip flexor areas, which she did. This policy is absolutely ridiculous. When you pay for a full Buff Brazilian it should be a FULL BUFF Brazilian, not leave the client with 1 extra strip of hair on each leg. Is this what this company has come to? Nickel and diming their long term clients? This makes me very sad because I was so proud to support a locally owned female business - but you have to at least TRY for my loyalty. I asked to have the owner contact me and they said “she no longer engages with customers”, hence, I feel I have no other option left for me other than leaving this negative review. What will reconcile this situation for me is a refund on the upper leg and some very concrete plans towards adding an extended Buff Brazilian that is reasonable, not making some pay $45 for 1 strip on each leg. And going to Dollarama to buy a $3 sleeve of cups would mean a lot to your clients. This isn’t too much to expect from a $75 service. Thank you.As a follow up to this review: I did get the refund of $45 but have been sent an email from the owner saying they will no longer do business with me. Not that I was ever going back anyways, but this just seems to be such an interesting response to a negative review - I guess warning to all other reviewers! LOL
